About Us

Our Story

Established in 1994 by the Sirsi Lions Club, the Sirsi Lions Education Society has grown over three decades into a comprehensive institution in North Karnataka, offering continuous education from Nursery to Pre-University (12th standard). Guided by a dedicated management team—initially led by senior founders and currently by President Lion Prabhakar Hegde—the institution emphasizes academic excellence, discipline, and holistic development. Operating on a modern, well-equipped campus in Sirsi, it provides robust facilities alongside diverse co-curricular opportunities, including sports, cultural programs, and Scouts and Guides. Its commitment to inclusion is reflected in the "Asare" scheme, which offers financial assistance to economically disadvantaged yet talented students from Sirsi, Siddapur, Yellapur, and surrounding regions, supported by separate on-campus hostel facilities for boys and girls from the 8th standard onward.

The institution boasts a strong legacy of student achievements, including 46 SSLC ranks—highlighted by a state First Rank in 2014–15—alongside notable state and national recognitions in science, sports, cultural activities, and Scouts and Guides, plus government MBBS seats and top KCET ranks. To bridge the gap in regional access to advanced coaching, the Society collaborates with BASE, Bengaluru, offering structured preparation for competitive exams like NEET, JEE, and KCET, alongside a targeted Foundation Programme in Science and Mathematics for Classes 8 through 10. Expanding its professional scope, the Society introduced a Commerce stream at the P.U. level starting in the 2025–26 academic year, incorporating early exposure to professional education such as the CA Foundation.

At Sirsi Lions Education Society’s Dr. Bhaskar Swadi Memorial Lions P.U.. College, Sirsi, in academic alliance with BASE Bengaluru, we believe education goes beyond academics—it nurtures critical thinking, leadership, character, and compassion.

Our approach combines the Karnataka P.U.C curriculum with JEE, NEET and KCET coaching through Sirsi Lions Academy, supported by BASE’s extraordinary courseware, concept-based learning, regular assessments and personalized mentoring.

Our Commerce stream, along with preparation for P.U. board exams, builds strong foundations for higher education and professional courses such as CA, CS and CMA.
